Overview
In 1993 Grand Banks pioneered the interpretation of the lobster boat as a stylish and powerful cruising yacht the Downeast Cruiser with the launch of the Eastbay Series with its Ray Hunt Associates design teak toe rails warm handcrafted interiors and a powerful set of diesel engines no other boat combines ageless design and high performance like the Eastbay. Ordered new by her current owner Alliance carries on this heritage in a two stateroom split head galley down arrangement.
Vessel Walkthrough
The cockpit is accessed from the solid teak swim platform through a heavy transom door located just off center of the transom to starboard. The cockpit is spacious has a solid teak deck with three large in-deck hatches molded in steps to the side decks and comfortable aft facing lounges port and starboard. Battery storage is provided under the forward cockpit steps. Entry to the salon is via twin opening doors with a sliding screen door located just inside the salon. Large frameless windows encompass the entire salon providing abundant light and excellent views of the outside. On the portside aft is a large navy blue leather settee with custom pillows. A beautiful teak Hi-Lo table with opening leaves is positioned in front of the settee. Opposite to starboard are (2) teak upholstered chairs separated by a teak TV Table with a 23 Samsung flat screen color TV mounted on top. Further forward to starboard is the helm with navy blue leather Stidd Helm seat. To Port across from the helm is the custom double wide helm seat in matching navy leather with a U-Line icemaker in a cabinet below. The entire interior sole is teak and holly with solid teak joiner work and teak panels throughout. Forward of the companion seat is a teak cabinet and desk for charts and navigation aids. The galley is down three steps to port forward and below the navigation station making for a very open layout. Abundant storage lockers under counter refrigeration a top loading freezer three burner cook top and double stainless sinks make for a very user friendly galley. The guest stateroom is across the companionway to starboard and features over/under berths with a large cedar lined hanging locker.The head is a split arrangement forward of this area with VacuFlush head and sink on the port side and a large stall shower opposite to starboard providing excellent privacy and room between staterooms. The master stateroom is forward and features a queen island centerline berth built in teak cabinetry cedar lined hanging locker overhead hatch Sharp 20 Aquos flat screen color TV (6) overhead teak cabinets to port and starboard and full teak hull liner.Outside the side decks are very wide allowing easy access from the cockpit to the bow. The bow rails are 316 stainless steel with a stainless cable intermediate rail. Canvas covers protect the beautiful teak exterior accents.
